Lubbock ISD bands raising money for Tournament of Roses Parade

Updated:

Students from all four Lubbock ISD high school bands are raising funds for their January 2012 trip to the Tournament of Roses Parade by working at the Quick Quack Car Wash on 80th and University Avenue on Saturday, July 23 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition, students will be offering chances to win a new Lexus IS250. More than 500 Lubbock ISD band students will participate in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, and will comprise the largest band in the parade and the only band from Texas.  The expenses associated with participation in the prestigious parade are being raised through donations and fundraising efforts.
