You can receive help through the comprehensive energy assistance grant in four ways:

  • The city can pay your energy bill up to four times a year. This applies to the elderly and those that qualify.
  • You can learn how to lower your bills and possibly get a portion of your bills paid through the energy education program.
  • The assistance program applies to those who need help enduring a weather crisis.
  • The appliance replacement and repair program offers residents a chance to lower their energy bills by repairing or replacing appliances in their home that uses to much energy.

To see if you qualify for any of these programs call the city of Lubbock Community Development Department at (806) 775-2309.
