Texas Tech hoping to lead in the study of wind energy

Texas Tech is pushing towards a new goal. The University is aiming to become the leading institute to educate skilled wind energy professionals. West Texas is no stranger to high ends, and Tech believes that wind energy will create half a million new jobs within the next 20 years.

Texas Tech will create a bachelors degree in the science of wind energy if the regents approve the this new innovation. Along with the proposal of the new degree plan, the two day meeting will also include budgets for Tech, the Health Science Center, and Angelo State University.
