There's evidence that grapes could help protect our skin from sunburn, but Dermatologists don't recommend ditching the sunscreen just yet. Spanish researchers found some flavonoids in grapes can reduce the amount of cell damage caused by UV exposure. The study was carried out in vitro in the lab, so there's no evidence that eating grapes or drinking wine would have the same effect. Researchers suggest adding the grape compounds to cosmetic products could be beneficial. This study is from Researchers at the University of Barcelona and the Spanish National Research Council.
