Truck knocks power pole out leaving residents in the dark

LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) -

A truck hitting a power pole left some Lubbock residents without power early Friday morning. The crash happened after 2:00 a.m. at 28th and Ivory Avenue, which is near Chatman Park.  Power was restored at about 11 a.m.

Police were on the scene blocking traffic away from the lines.  An LP&L crew was seen making repairs to downed lines that stretched 200 yards. 

Police said overnight that no injuries were reported from the crash.
