Ammunitions Crackles As Firefighters Battle Seth Ward House Fire

In Hale county, investigators have ruled a large house fire in Seth Ward near Plainview, accidental.

Firefighters arrived at the scene around eight o'clock Wednesday night. Firefighters battled the flames for more than two and half hours before getting the fire under control. They say the homeowners apparently kept ammunition in the house, because of the popping that was heard amidst the flames. No one was hurt.

Following an investigation, officials say a trash fire apparently rekindled and spread to the home. Damage to the home is estimated at approximately $45,000. The family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
