Red Raider football fan day set for August 20

From Texas Tech Athletics:

As the excitement continues to mount for the football season opener, fans will get their first chance to meet this year's team at Red Raider Fan Day on Saturday, Aug. 20.

This year's event, which will also include the women's volleyball team, will take place at the United Spirit Arena for the second-straight year.  Red Raider Fan Day will run from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, with doors opening at 2 p.m. and closing promptly at 4 p.m.  Fans can begin lining up prior to 2 p.m. at the northwest entrance to the United Spirit Arena.

Due to the limited time of the event and to make sure that all fans get at least one item signed, only one autograph item per person will be allowed.  The arena public address system will keep fans informed about the time remaining in the autograph session so that as many autographs can be obtained as possible.  Fans are welcome to take snapshots of players and coaches but due to the limited time frame, no posed photos with players and coaches will be allowed.

Texas Tech will provide football posters and schedule cards that can be used as autograph items.  Outside items such as t-shirts, hats, photos, footballs, helmets and other items will also be allowed.  The Double T Zone will also have a merchandise stand open so that fans can purchase items for autograph.

All Guns Up Club members will receive early admission to this event.  The cost to join is $25 and includes an official Texas Tech Guns Up Club t-shirt, official membership card, e-mail newsletter to stay informed of Guns Up Club events, a birthday card from Raider Red, and admission to select Texas Tech Athletic events.  To join, click here.
