Early Morning Car Accident Sends Lubbock Man to Hospital - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock man is in critical condition tonight following an early morning car accident in west Lubbock.

Around 4 o'clock this morning, 29-year-old Robert Lampe was broadsided by a semi truck at the intersection of 34th and Avenue A. According to police, Lampe ran a red light. The passenger side of his truck was then struck by the semi.

Police say alcohol is not a factor in the crash and Lampe was wearing a seat belt. He remains in critical condition Saturday at University Medical Center.
