House Fire Perhaps Sparked by Car

The Lubbock Fire Department is searching for clues in an early morning house fire.

The fire started in a carport just before 4:30 this morning in 2000 block of 56th street. The fire then spread to the house.

The family inside was able to get out before anyone was injured. The fire is under investigation, and fire officials say the blaze may have been sparked by a car in the carport and do not suspect foul play.
