Traffic Diverted as Man Threatens to Jump

As of 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, south bound traffic on I-27 between 50th St. and 82nd St. has been blocked off and diverted.

The stretch of I-27 was shut down as a man threatened to jump off the overpass bridge of 55th St. and I-27.

Police negotiators have tried to talk the man down since shortly after 7:00 p.m.
