Perry says focus on jobs will get the country back on track

Monday was the beginning of the first official week of Governor Rick Perry's campaign for the GOP nomination. Perry began his campaign in Iowa where he said he has a better job creation record than his rivals and more experience.

Over the weekend, Perry said if the country wants to get the economy back on the right track, then it needs to focus on jobs.

"I happen to think the biggest issue that is facing this country is that we are in economic turmoil, and if we don't have a President of the United States that gets America working again, we are in trouble, and we need to be focused on jobs in this country. We need to be focused on getting our economy working again."
