'Stuff the Bus' begins Friday morning

The South Plains Food Bank will host their 21st annual 'Stuff the Bus' school supply drive campaign beginning this morning at 9 a.m.

According to SPFB Chief Executive Officer David Weaver, "We realize the importance of students having basic supplies to be successful in their school year and wanted to assist struggling families in providing some of those needed items."

Lubbock County families needing assistance with basic school supplies need to contact their child's school for a school supply voucher. Parents can then bring the voucher to the South Plains Food Bank at 4612 Locust Avenue.

Distribution begins this morning and will continue Monday through Friday of next week from 9am to 4pm.

More than 4,000 school supply bags have been made with this year's donations thanks to the community and local sponsors.
