City of Lubbock Anticipates North University Gateway - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The City of Lubbock is anticipating a dramatic new entrance to North Overton.

It's called the North University Gateway and it will illuminate the entrance to the North Overton area and will be constructed at 3rd Street and University Avenue.

The gateway includes new landscaping, accent lighting, and a metal tower designed with a Spanish renaissance flavor.

The project cost of $500,000 dollars is funded by a streets capital project approved in the 1999 bond election.
