Avery and the Calico Hearts back in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Avery and the Calico Hearts are back in Lubbock after a long run on NBC's hit show America's Got Talent.

Avery Winter, 9, Brooklyn Elbert, 10, and Kassidy King, 10, spent their entire summer on the show. They say this experience has changed their lives forever.

"You are singing at the cactus being a regular kid here and then you're walking on the streets and everyone is noticing you," said Avery Winter.

The girls brought their talent first to Houston then Vegas, then all the way to Hollywood where they became stars.

"It's so fun having people do your hair and your makeup, pick out your wardrobe," said Brooklyn Elbert.

The trio was known for their chipmunk voices. In fact, they met the star of Alvin and the Chipmunks in Los Angeles.

"I would love to be on Alvin and the Chipmunks because it's my favorite movie," said Avery Winter.

Surprisingly, they didn't get to talk to all of the judges behind the scenes. At one point though, the girls did get to met Judge Howie Mandel.

"I forgot that he didn't like germs and I was like we want to give him a hug, but we can't. So he gave us knuckles," said Kassidy King.

The fun did end, their luck ran out and they went packing. The girls were eliminated not just once but twice.

"We were upset, but at least we got a second chance," said Elbert.

Now, the girls are back in school and back to reality. But is this the end? They say no. They have bigger plans and say they might come back on the show again, but you will just have to keep watching to find out.

"We are hoping Disney will call us in a couple days because we want to go on Disney so bad," said Winter.

The girls say all of their classmates recognize them at school from the show. They say it feels so good to be back with friends and family. However, in the future they hope to have a concert in Lubbock or even a record deal.
