Biff the Bomb Dog Has New Partner In Crime

On Wednesday, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office was applauded by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms for their assistance in fighting crime across the region.

Much of the credit belongs Lubbock County's secret weapon: "Biff" the bomb dog and his handler, Bomb Squad Commander David Turner.

But now, Biff will share the spotlight. "Mick" and his handler, Deputy Christopher Eppler, have been added to the K-9 unit.

ATF Agent in Charge, Felix Garcia, says we are fortunate to have such a powerful force in Lubbock "We know law enforcement is at the local level and we know a lot of cases are being made right on the streets."

The area covered by the local ATF includes 88 counties in Texas. However, Biff has participated in special assignments out of state, including the Super Bowl and even the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
