Race Track & Casino Closer To Lubbock Than Ever Before

How close is the nearest race track to Lubbock? Soon it will be just a short 90-mile drive away from Lubbock.

The owners of the Ruidoso Downs Track have just won the right to operate a new horse track and casino in Hobbs, New Mexico. The decision came Wednesday from the New Mexico Racing Commission.

The new track and casino complex is expected to draw numerous players from Texas.
