A large celebration was held Saturday at the Hope Lodge in Lubbock for the facility's 1 year anniversary.
The Hope Lodge is used as a place to stay for people who are receiving cancer treatment in Lubbock, but live outside of a 50 mile radius. Saturday, patients and families who have stayed at the Hope Lodge over the past year, came back to celebrate the event.
At one point, more than 400 balloons were released into the sky, symbolizing every person who has stayed at the facility since it opened.
