Lubbock couple will go to trial for murder

LUBBOCK,TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock couple, Casey Ledbetter, 36, and Meredith Ledbetter, 28, were indicted Tuesday on capital murder charges.

The couple is accused of murdering Joanie Parker and her son Derek Hale. The victims were found dead in a vacant field southeast of Idalou in late May.  District Attorney Matt Powell says no decision has been made whether or not he will seek the death penalty.
