Opera performer returns home to Plainview

The first concert of the 33rd season by the Plainview Symphony Orchestra will include a very special homecoming. Terry Cook is internationally known for portraying the title role in George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

Born in Plainview and a graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Music, Cook has appeared with most of the major opera companies and symphony orchestras around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic.

Cook will perform with his hometown symphony for the very first time this evening at 7pm at Wayland Baptist University's Harral Memorial Auditorium. For more information you can visit PlainviewSymphonyOrchestra.
