The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce hosted it's second kickoff breakfast Thursday morning at the Merket Alumni Center.
The breakfast featured head football coach Tommy Tuberville as the keynote speaker.
Constance Barbian, the vice president of communications for the Lubbock Chamber, said their first kickoff breakfast last year was so successful that they wanted to do it again this year.
"It's to allow an opportunity to our members - the members of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce - just to get involved with Texas Tech University and Texas Tech Athletics before the beginning of the football season."
Members of the chamber said they look forward to this season of Texas Tech football under Coach Tuberville.
Their first game is this weekend at Jones AT&T Stadium against Texas State.
