City agrees to Atmos rate hike as of September 1st

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Your Atmos gas bill is going up in Lubbock.  The City and Atmos have reached a deal that allows the monthly customer charge to go up from $7.53 per month to $7.86.  Atmos had wanted a larger increase but the wouldn't agree to it. 

The consumption rate was set at $0.17913 per hundred cubic feet, up from $0.17146. 

The increase inside Lubbock city limits will boost the company's revenues by $904,242.  If approved by Lubbock City Council this week the rates go into effect as of September 1st.

    Four Roosevelt High School seniors are in New York City preparing to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Jasmina Perez (clarinet), Jessica Sherrill (Clarinet), Davina Meyer (Flag) and Azelin Meyer (Trumpet) are all seniors at Roosevelt High School. All four had to audition for the parade and say other people from their school applied, but didn't get accepted.
