Citibus hearing at noon to discuss bus fare increase

The public hearing concerning Citibus rates is today at noon. The hearing will be held at the Citibus downtown Transfer Plaza, 801 Broadway Avenue.

The Lubbock Public Transit advisory board will make a recommendation to the Lubbock City Council regarding the proposed fare increase, and the City Council is scheduled to vote on the proposal on Thursday.

If approved the route changes will be effective October 1, 2011. Here is a list of the proposed rates.
