Grand Jury indicts two Lubbock men for traffic incidents

A Lubbock County Grand Jury handed down a series of indictments on Tuesday.

25-year-old Samuel Ortega was indicted for failure to stop and render aid. He will be charged with serious bodily injury resulting in death and tampering with evidence. All of these charges involve the hit and run death of Jose Trejo.

Also indicted was Doctor David Gonzalez-Gibler. He was indicted on intoxication manslaughter and assault with a vehicle charges. Police say back in mid-August Gonzalez-Gibler caused his car to flip off the North Loop resulting in the death of 19-year-old Samantha Martinez. 18-year-old Dawnyelle Rios was also seriously injured in that accident.
