Last year Brian Duncan led the Red Raider defense to an 8-5 record. This year he's leading kids to a better health record.
The former Texas Tech linebacker is starting a 6-week conditioning program with the help of a Lubbock gym in order to help fight childhood obesity, as well as give back to the community.
"I'm taking what I've learned over the years and instilling it into these kids," said a smiling Duncan. "I think it's my time to give back and get these kids in shape."
Duncan will be leading kids and teens through the workout in a free trial Thursday, and the camp will officially begin September 20th.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 9-17. The free trial workout will be 6 p.m. at the Bodyworks on 4th Street.
