South Plains Commemorates World Aids Day

People across the world are marking World Aids Day with events to raise awareness about the deadly disease. An estimated 42 million people worldwide are infected with HIV.

On the Texas Tech campus on Monday, the Center for Study of Addiction and Lubbock MHMR held free testing for HIV. There's also a free and confidential screening going on through midnight Monday at the South Plains Aids Resource Center.

If you'd like to take advantage of this free screening, stop by S.P.A.R.C's headquarters at 4819 Ave. Q.
