Man Killed in Rollover

A one car rollover near Buffalo Springs Lake claimed the life of a 23-year-old New Deal man early Wednesday morning.

Landon Brent Moyers lost control of a Chevy Cavalier on FM 835 near County Road 7100 just after midnight . DPS says he was traveling around a curve when he lost control. The car rolled about 1 1/2 times before hitting a road sign and a utility pole.

Officers say Moyers was not wearing a seatbelt and the accident remains under investigation.

Moyers is survived by a wife and three kids. A memorial fund has been set up for his family at the  First State Bank in Shallowater at P.O. Box 160, Shallowater, TX 79363 or call (806) 832-4525.
