Homes for Heroes receives donation

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A group that helps injured veterans is getting some help of its own. The Lubbock Land Company on Wednesday was presented with a check for more than $30,000 to the Lubbock charity group "Homes For Heroes."

The group builds homes for injured veterans on the South Plains. Lubbock Marine Anthony Villarreal accepted the check on behalf of the group. He and his wife received a home from "Homes For Heroes" back in June.
