Babies do not come with instruction manuals, but new and expectant parents have an opportunity to receive tips and guidance from leading experts in the region at the "New and Expectant Parents Brunch" on Saturday, Oct. 1. The free event hosted by Second Baptist Church will feature an array of Covenant experts providing tips on how to handle your pregnancy and newborn child.
The brunch will be held at Second Baptist Church located at 6109 Chicago Ave. from 9 a.m. to noon.
Dr. Vanessa Dalton, a pediatrician with Covenant Medical Group, will serve as the event's keynote speaker. She will discuss "What Pediatricians Wish Every Parent Knew." Find out what you should really know before your bundle of joy arrives.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from the following breakout sessions:

Jim Powell, B.S., MDiv, former pediatric chaplain at Covenant Children's Hospital, private counselor
The breakout sessions will start at 9 a.m., followed by the brunch at 10:30 a.m. and Dr. Dalton's presentation at 11 a.m.
