Police say a Lubbock teen ran a red light Monday morning, and that set off a near deadly chain of events.
According to Lubbock Police, 18-year-old Gene Mauldin was headed West on 4th Street, when he failed to stop at a red light. His Ford Escort then collided with a pickup southbound on Toledo Avenue. The truck was then put on a collision course with a man on a bicycle.
50-year-old Willie Coleman was treated and released from Covenant Medical Center Monday morning. Nobody in either vehicle was injured. Mauldin, however, was issued a ticket.
