A missing Texas Tech student was found alive in Santa Monica, California according to Lubbock Police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart.

Eric Scheller was reported missing by his family earlier this month but his roommates hadn't seen him since August.

His family was particularly concerned after Scheller's car was found in a Santa Monica tow yard. Stewart says a family member reported Scheller was staying in a homeless shelter.
