When it comes to getting your kids to eat more fruit, color may be the key. Researchers at Cornell University observed that most fruit in school lunchrooms are sold in metal trays or bowls in inconvenient locations.
For an entire semester they tried something new at three elementary schools. They put the fruit in colorful bowls at the front of the line. Then, when they compared fruit sales from that year, to the year before, they found the fruit choice among students increased by 105 percent.
I guess presentation counts when you want your kids to pick healthy foods.
