LUBBOCK,TX (AP) -
The Emergency Declaration for all of Texas has been extended. Sunday evening around 8pm Governor Perry signed an extension of his December 21st declaration.
The extension is existence still because of the ongoing drought that still puts Texas at the risks of wildfires. The month of September saw the worst wildfires in Texas History. The fires that burned during this month destroyed more than 1500 homes in the Bastrop area and killed two people.
