DENVER CITY, TX (KCBD) -

A 16-year-old Denver City girl is missing and authorities are searching for clues in her disappearance.

Denver City High School Principal Gary Davis tells us Calli Stephens, 16, was seen on surveillance video being dropped off at school 7:20 a.m. Friday.

Davis says Stephens was supposed to take a test, but never made it to the test or class.

Texas Rangers are assisting Denver City Police and the Yoakum County Sheriff's Department in the search.

According to Davis, Stephens is 5'4" 105 pounds with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing jeans, a light gray jacket carrying a red Denver City volleyball shoulder bag and yellow backpack.

Lt. Charlie Higgs with the Denver City Police says information suggests Stephens may be with a former boyfriend, 18-year-old Cesar Alejandro Cardona.

Higgs says they've received tips that the two may be en route to Kansas in a silver Nissan Sentra.

The investigation continues, but right now police have no information to suggest that Stephens was taken against her will.

If you have any information you're urged to call Denver City Police at (806) 592-3516 or the Yoakum County Sheriff's Office at (806) 592-2747.
