Portion of MSF to be closed for 3 weeks starting Monday

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

TxDOT will close a portion of the Marsha Sharp Freeway starting Monday.  The closure will be from Avenue L to Buddy Holly Avenue, lasting an estimated three weeks.  TxDOT says the closure will allow workers to build a section of eastbound frontage road.  Detours will be in place as follows:

  • Eastbound Marsha Sharp (US 82) traffic will be detoured south on Avenue L to Broadway, then
    east to Buddy Holly and finally north to re-connect with the MSF.
  • Westbound Marsha Sharp frontage road traffic will be detoured around the work area via south
    Texas Avenue, Broadway and Avenue Q to re-connect with the freeway.
