A former Lubbock County Detention Center inmate is suing Lubbock County for negligence and not providing adequate medical care. Allan Warner, 55, says he was doing trustee work for the detention center when he was injured – an injury that still hurts almost a year later.

KCBD would like to honor U.S. Army specialist Roy Stout as this week's Hometown Hero. Roy is a 2008 Roosevelt High School graduate who entered into the Army that summer to be a machine gunner.
