The biggest grocery chain in Lubbock wants to assure its customers that pink slime is not an issue in their stores. The concern comes after Kroger and Stop & Shop announced that they will no longer sell beef if it includes the additive.

Tarrant County is still trying to identify a partially-mummified skeleton found near the Big Spring airport. Sources close to the investigation say it could be missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn. 13-year-old Hailey was reported missing in December 2010.

Xcel Energy has gained approval from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) to lower typical Texas residential bills of 1,000 kilowatt-hours by $3.53, or 3.7 percent, starting April 1.
