Area Representatives React To Saddam's Capture

News of the capture of Saddam Hussein has stirred a reaction among everyone, including U.S. and State Representatives from Lubbock.

"I think its great that the people of Iraq don't have to worry that he is going to come back to power," said State Representative Carl Issett.

"I think comparing Saddam to Adolph Hitler is appropriate. I personally observed large mass graves in Iraq where at least 300,000 Iraqis laid dead. They were victims of Saddam's evil regime," said Senator John Cornyn.

"I think it's a reward to our troops, that all this hard work and diligence and work that they've done on a daily basis has paid off. Every once in a while when you're in the heat of the battle it's nice to celebrate a success," said Congressman Randy Neugebauer.
