Lubbock Convenience Store Clerk Stabbed During Robbery Attempt

A Lubbock convenience store clerk is stabbed multiple times, following an armed robbery early Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Texaco at 4th and Vicksburg, just before 3 a.m. According to police reports, three men entered the store and demanded cash at knife point. The clerk attempted to take the weapon from one of the suspects, and that's when a struggle ensued.

The clerk was stabbed at least seven times before the suspects fled. He is currently listed in serious condition at University Medical Center.

The suspects are described as three black males between the ages of 15 and 17, with weights ranging from 115 to 130 pounds. Two of them were wearing white "Starter" jackets, and all of them were wearing blue jeans and blue toboggans.
