If you've been wondering when your sister or daughter is going to start a family, here's what the government estimates. According to averages pulled from a report by the National Center for Health Statistics, women are waiting much longer to have children today.
Compared to 1970, when the average age for a woman having her first baby was 21, the report says now the average age a woman waits for that first birth is just over 25.
Among other news included in the report is the number of teen births has reached an all time low.
While birth rates for women between the ages of 35 and 44 were the highest in more than three decades.
