LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Companies wanting to do the work on a major sewer line upgrade in South Central and East Lubbock have about three weeks to submit their bids. Although the work is to be done in a different part of town, the sewer upgrade is meant to handle the growing needs in Southwest Lubbock. Phase 1 is estimated to cost $1.3 million dollars.
When all phases are complete, it will go from 98th and Avenue P to the Southeast Water Reclamation Plant, a distance of 6.9 miles. The total estimated cost for all phases will be $17 million and will replace a temporary lift station at 98th and P.
