Two new members of the Texas Tech Board of Regents were sworn in Friday afternoon.
J. Frank Miller III, of Dallas, and L.F. Rick Francis, of El Paso, were appointed to the board by Governor Rick Perry last month. Both men earned degrees in business administration from Texas Tech University.
Also on Friday, the regents voted to approve an average 3% merit-based salary increase for the staff at Tech Texas University. Health Sciences Center Staff will receive a one-time 2% payment based on merit.
