South Plains Food Bank Hands Out Christmas Boxes

Thousands of Lubbock area residents will not go hungry this Christmas holiday, thanks to the South Plains Food Bank. The food bank began handing out Christmas boxes Saturday morning, with help from volunteers from First United Methodist Church. The food boxes include frozen foods, canned goods, and fruits and veggies. Volunteers with the church along with South Plains Food Bank employees say this is a great way to help those less fortunate in our community.

Oscar Solis, South Plains Food Bank employee, "I think it's a great event, especially during Christmas time. It's all about giving. There's a lot of hungry people out there. This is a great way to serve the community. Give back to the community and help others."

More 3,000 Christmas boxes will be distributed throughout the next few days

Though the full scope of the investigation is not clear, the information requests make evident at least some of the areas that Mueller and his team of prosecutors intend to look into and also reveal a strong interest in certain of Trump's actions as president.
