Dixie Chicks to release DVD/Blue Ray next month

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Dixie Chicks, with lead singer Natalie Maines originally of Lubbock, will release a new DVD/Blue Ray on November 29th.  The DVD called "Dixie Chicks' VH1 Storytellers" features their September 2006 performance recorded live in the Los Angeles Theater.

Fans will also get personal anecdotes and three never-before-seen performances from the original broadcast including "Lullaby," "Easy Silence" and "So Hard".

The Chicks ran into some controversy because of Maines' 2003 criticism of the U.S. war on terror during a performance overseas.  The Chicks most recent public performance was a week ago in Austin, during a benefit concert for wildfire victims.
