A Texas Tech freshman was killed in an early Saturday morning accident near Big Spring. Doctors couldn't stop the severe brain swelling of 18-year old Keaton Owens and he died Monday in a Lubbock Hospital.
The 18-year-old from Childress was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at Tech. Owens' truck smashed into the back of an oil tanker truck near Big Spring early Saturday.
