CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - A National Guard recruiter from Lubbock has been arrested in Clovis on suspicion of child solicitation.
Curry County authorities say 44-year-old Jeffrey Jackson arrived at a decoy house in Clovis with a box of condoms for the purpose of having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Deputies then took the Texas man into custody.
Jackson allegedly contacted a social networking website profile of a 15-year-old girl operated by the sheriff's office, engaged in sexually graphic conversations, and sent nude pictures of himself.
Jackson was being held at the Curry County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. It couldn't be immediately determined if Jackson has legal counsel.
