Lubbock Police Searching for Overnight Robbery Suspect

Police are investigating the robbery of a convenience store in north Lubbock early Wednesday morning.

According to Lubbock police, the suspect entered the 7-11 at 2902 4th Street around 1:30 a.m., and demanded cash. The man followed the clerk behind the counter where he hit him in the head, cutting him above the left eye. He then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. He did not have a weapon.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his early 20's. He is 5 feet seven inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds.
