It's a Texas Tech Basketball Double-Header Sell Out!

It's a sell-out, not once, but twice at the Texas Tech ticket office.

"It's been busy, but that's good," says Texas Tech Ticket Clerk, Sandy Collins. For the first time in many years both the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders are playing back to back in a double dose of Big 12 match ups.

"As we get into conference season the availability of tickets becomes a really big item and the scarcity of tickets," says Tech Assistant Athletic Director, Craig Wells.

If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you may be out of luck. Tech officials say just about all 15,000 seats in the United Spirit Arena are sold out. Your best bet is to come here on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and hope for the best.

"The kids are playing good, they're playing hard. The men have come off two road victories against two Big 10 teams so they're responding well with a good crowd," says Wells.

And with the Lady Raiders receiving a #1 ranking this week, Raider mania has hit local Tech retailers. With merchandise selling out just as quickly as tickets.

"With the girls and guys doing good, sales are looking good for us. We hope that once the students get back they'll start rising even more," says Chris Brooks, of the Spirit Shop.

Tech athletics officials say all this Raider madness is just one way of showing support for our two top teams. "I think the people of Lubbock are saying thank you for what you've done up to this point. We're gonna come show our appreciation by coming to a game so it's been huge for both of our men's and women's programs," says Wells.

Tickets for both the Tech men's and women's basketball games are selling fast. As of now the men's tickets are completely sold out. There are a hand full of women's tickets available. You can go buy the United Spirit Arena ticket office tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. to purchase them. The double header against Oklahoma State tips off Saturday at 3 p.m. beginning with the men.
