This sounds like a movie plot for Halloween, but a new trend in the search for youth is something called a Vampire Facelift. It uses your own blood plasma, and then inject it back into the face.
Dr. Gail Humble said, "It actually involved using platelet rich plasma. We draw the patient's own blood, and then we separate the plasma that has the platelets in it. We then re-inject it into the face. We can use growth factors that they emit to regenerate your skin, and give you better texture, tone, and volume."
It's not an instant fix. Dr. Humble says results are visible during the platelet cycle, which is about seven days. More volume is noticeable in two months, and the filler lasts for about a year and a half. The treatment costs about a thousand dollars.
