PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) -

Perhaps it is a sign of the times.  As of Sunday, the Plainview Daily Herald has been printed in Plainview for the last time.

For more than a 100 years the Plainview paper was almost always printed in-house at the Daily Herald.  Its parent company can save money by taking the paper to press at the Midland Reporter Telegram.  The Daily Herald's publisher is quoted as saying the quality will also improve.
