Afternoon Fire Injures Resident

A Lubbock woman is recovering from smoke inhalation after her home caught fire Monday. Lubbock Firefighters arrived at the home in the 3100 block of Itasca just after 4:00 on Monday afternoon.

The fire started in the back bedroom, fortunately the woman was outside at the time. But, as the fire was put out the woman suffered from minor smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
